*The Polaris Dawn crew spent some time in Starbase ahead of their announcement and saw Starship on the orbital launch pad*.

Meet the crew (from left to right):

- Scott “Kidd” Poteet, Mission Pilot of Polaris Dawn.
Poteet is a retired United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and former Air Force Thunderbirds #4 Demonstration Pilot. He has worked in a variety of business development roles and was the Mission Director of Inspiration4.

- Jared “Rook” Isaacman, Mission Commander of Polaris Dawn.
Isaacman is the CEO of Shift4, co-founder of Draken International, previous commander of Inspiration4, and an accomplished pilot & commercial astronaut rated to fly various aircraft.

- Sarah Gillis, Lead Space Operations Engineer at SpaceX and Mission Specialist of Polaris Dawn. She is responsible for overseeing SpaceX's astronaut training program. She's a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, has a lifelong passion for music & enjoys all forms of outdoor adventure.

- Anna Menon, Lead Space Operations Engineer at SpaceX and Mission Specialist & Medical Officer of Polaris Dawn. Menon manages the development of crew operations at SpaceX and has a decade of space operations experience, previously supporting the ISS as a flight controller.

On Wednesday, April 27th, SpaceX launched the Crew-4 mission to the ISS, carrying 3 NASA astronauts and an ESA astronaut. The crew will stay on the iss for six months, and perform a wide variety of science experiments before returning back to earth.

NASA’s most powerful rocket, SLS was rolled out to the pad on March 18th. It will now perform a wet dress rehearsal before heading back to the VAB. After that it will once again be rolled out to be launched around the moon.
